getting need to upgrade to get xfi

I just swapped my DPC3941T for a TG1682G.  With my old router xfi was working great,  when i setup the new router it gives me a message that i need to upgrade in order to get service of xfi. I went on a chat session with a comcast agent and was told it needed to be sent up to tier 2 support. That was 2 days ago and have not heard back yet.  I'm giving them till Friday 02/16/18 before i call again.
