UPDATE: TV Go Web and Mobile Live Streams are coming back online...

To our patient customers...

 

We have been troubleshooting an issue with our live streams since around 6pm EST yesterday. As per my earlier posts, you may see various Live channels being removed from our site and TV Go mobile apps for iOS and Android.

 

During the outage, only ESPN and the Disney streams remained active.

 

Why were streams removed?

We removed all impacted streams to avoid having you receive a 900|101000.101002.101005 error on the web, 3363 or -11800 errors on iOS, or 106000 errors on Android.

 

Where are we now?

We have restored ALL live streams to our web site (http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/watch-live-tv) and mobile apps as of 7/4 @ 7am. Teams continue to work on getting the viewing experience more consistent and do not consider this event fully resolved. You may still see the "02.05" error message on some web streams during this time. Please hit the retry button which will restart the stream  should you see this. 

 

Check back for more updates as we continue to investigate this issue.

Trying to watch Xfinity TV & keep getting this error message.

I'm receiving the same message as of 7/16/13. It kicked me out of my movie and has been saying Error 900|101000.101002.101005 ever since. I just got off the phone with Comcast and they stated it was Adobe's fault and to call them to renew my license. Everything with my Adobe is fine. I would like this fixed since I'm paying so much each month for services.

Hi Joe,

 

I've been getting the same error message for weeks trying to watch The Big Bang Theory.  Sometimes the last number above is 101006 instead of 101005.

I get the same error message and have gotten it for months now.  I called comcast and never got a resolution to the problem.  I am lucky if I get through a single episode or a whole movie in one sitting.  It has happened on multiple movies and tv episodes.  Some don't play at all and some play part of the way through and cut off showing that error code.  If you could get this resolved that would be AMAZING!

What type of connection are you on (Wired or Wireless)?

What type of location are you at (Home, Work, Public, etc.)?

I am still getting this error  too and I've been on xfinity chat 3 different times about it now and thought I may have a fix with the 3rd xfinity rep, but I am still beleaugered with the problem event though I did what he said.  He told me to 1) disable ads (which I did) and 2) update Adobe flash (which I did).  I was told that this would help but it wasn't a guaranteed 100% fix.  Well apparently it didn't fix it at all and didn't help because I got onto xfinity.com again to watch a show this morning and got the same error as per usual!  This is frustrating and has been VERY LABOR INTENSIVE ON MY PART--I have better things to do with my life really--can't Comcast fix it for everyone AND FIX IT FOR GOOD?

This really is amazing that this problem has existed for so long without a solution. Is Comcast Joe on summer vacation? 

 

There's nothing more frustrating than companies pointing fingers at eachother while the consumer is the one that is hurt. 

 

It would really be nice to have some updates since many Comcast customers are dealing with the same issues.

This has been going on for weeks, even longer from what I've researched. 

 

Comcast,

 

You are one of the largest providers (if not the largest) for cable television, you have more resources than God.  Where is the resolution for this??  I find it hard to beleive that this issue could be long-standing for the last 2 months with ZERO resolution.

Well, well, well what do you know....  I was having trouble in IE viewing some pdfs in my internet browser at work yesterday, so my tech guy talked me into using Firefox instead--he told me IE is garbage.  I switched over to Firefox, loaded the latest Adobe Flash version and it appears that I can now view all the videos on Comcast's site!!!  Wondering now if it is just IE that was causing all the problems.   Too though, remember that I disabled Comcast ads (see my earlier post in this thread).  Yipee I can now see my shows on Comcast's site.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that I don't run into any further problems.  Scrap IE and download Mozilla Firefox and see if that changes anything for you :-)

 

EDIT  My successful viewing was short-lived.  I watched two episodes in Season 3 of Nurse Jackie this morning and then when I went to watch the next episode, episode 9 I got the error again!  However, if I skip that episode and got to the next episode, epsideo 10, episode 10 will play, which makes NO SENSE!!!

I tried Firefox multiple times with the same result before adding my .02 to this issue.  I just added Ad Block Plus to Firefox and still got the same error after trying to view my video.

 

Where/how are you blocking Comcast ads?

I am blocking ads in my email, go into your comcast email and on the rh side you will see an advertisement.  Under that ad there is a link that says "Ad Info."  Click on that and opt out of the ads.  I was told by Comcast that after you do that you will have to log out of Comcast's site and then log back in for it to take effect.  Anway, my successful viewing was short-lived.  I watched two episodes in Season 3 of Nurse Jackie this morning and then when I went to watch the next episode, episode 9 I got the error again!  However, if I skip that episode and got to the next episode, epsideo 10, episode 10 will play, which makes NO SENSE!!!

 

EDIT:  You can get to that same place (turning off ads) if you click at the Ad Choices link under where the video plays and turn off all ads except you can't turn off the third party ones.  I having a hunch that it is certain (but probably not all) of Comcas'ts third party ads that are making the videos stall, which is why I was able to view a couple this morning but stalled on episdoe 9 but then could view episode 10.  Comcast needs to fix this!!!

I turned on Opt-Out of email ads and opted out of Comcast ads.  Updated Adobe Flash.  Using Firefox nothing.  I'm trying to play The Big Bang Theory.  The clips will play for it but not the full shows.  I tried other video titles.  Some play others don't.  I tried different videos within a group like America's Got Talent.  The latest one plays, the next one down doesn't.

This is crazy.

 

At home I am:

 

Wired/Home

 

And everything runs there on my 10 year old Dell Dimension 8250 running XP and IE8.  It is so slow I'd rather watch at work, but it doesn't work. Hardware differences ???

 

I've had an instance today where I was able to view a video at work after reboot (maybe has nothing to do with the problem) but had to close it down for a while.  When I went back to the same video it wouldn't run.

I tried at least 10 videos today.  I found that the ones coming through hulu or CBS, as indicated in the lower left corner of the video screen, ran.  I didn't watch them from beginning to end, but I did watch them for 2-3 minutes.

 

Any video coming through any other "network" resulted in the error message we are all talking about.  They included A&E, History, Fox, USA, and NBC.

 

Is anyone from Comcast looking at this?

I too have been getting that error when trying to watch Game of Thrones. My time spent with the Comcast tech support was epic fail. They told me it was a browser incompatibility problem but couldn't tell me what version to use, except for IE 9 (which is like 2 years old). After much questioning, she finally admitted she didn't know what version of Firefox and that she got Google Chrome 9 to work. That was released in 2011. Google is now on version 28.

 

If indeed it is a browser issue, then Comcast needs to keep up with the times by updating their programs to work on the latest browsers. All she kept saying was that I shouldn't update my browsers. Really? That's not really the advice I was looking for.

 

Finally, I got frustrated because clearly there's no solution coming from Comcast.

 

I went to HBOGo.com instead and now I am watching the episode online. I suggest anyone having problems with HBO do the same or download IE 9.

I use IE8 at home and at work.

 

Everything runs at home and nothing runs at work except for videos that come thru Hulu.

 

I also now go to the network site to watch the videos that I am interested in.

Comcast will not help. They just give me the runaround.

For what its worth, the only videos that seem to be loading are shows on CBS.  I know that Unfirgettable, Under the Dome and 48 Hours play fine.  Have not checked any others but that hopefully is a start.
