I don't own a cell phone.

Is there any way to get Comcast, XFinity to stop asking me for another method to log in securely besides a cell phone?

(My Comcast email is my only email addy too.)


I'm retired from the phone company. Cell phones irritate me now, lol.

The best you can do is click "remind me later" in tiny font at the bottom of the page.  Many of us are in the same boat, either with no non-Comcast emails (and no need for one other than this), or no second cell phones to offer. We have two cell phones;  both are "already in use".  You can always checking "later" (tiny text at the bottom of the options), and it'll go away for a while.  There may be valid arguments for a two-stage login, but there should be some other options available.


I used to like my old flip phone, but the smart phones are kind of neat.  They're like little computers, if you don't need to do anything "strenuous" with them.

"Flip phone", lol. I'm retired from the phone company and we invented these things. After 30 years of being connected to pagers and cells phones I choose not to be "that" connected anymore.

It's annoying.
