XFinity mobile logs me out before chat agent is available

I have been trying to get into Chat to find the status of my order. Every time I start a chat (morning, daytime, evening, night) there are over 100 people in line. "Fine," I think to myself, "I can start the chat and wait for the audio prompt when somebody shows up."

 

WRONG! The stupid website logs me out due to inactivity unless I tend it and keep myself logged in -- even though I have an active chat window up!

 

That is really bad design, folks. It's bad enough that the wait to talk to somebody is in the tens of minutes. It's made worse by Xfinity logging me out because THEY are taking so long to respond.
