That is not correct.  I know some carriers it takes only three days but I was told it takes 10 days for Frontier numbers. Why does it take so long to port a Frontier number?

dylesser, I do not know how the porting intervals are established. If you are having any issues with ports, please let us know.

There is a delay to port a number?  So if I buy a new phone and take it home to activate it, does that mean it won't activate right away if I am porting a number?

D-man, ports from the Big 4 (Verizon, ATT, T-Mobile and Sprint) usually port in minutes if there are no errors.

Thank you Ken.  I think I am going to take the plunge today or tomorrow and get one line over.  You seem very helpful here and that puts me at little more at ease.  It is concerning to see all the problems, but it is good to know you are here to help if needed.  Overall, Comcast seems to always get bashed by everyone.  I never hear anything good about it and only hear how bad it is.  But honestly, I have had cable, internet, and phone service for over 10 years and never had a problem.  The cable is never out, the internet is fast, and they let you work with the prices too.   So I don't know...maybe I am just lucky or other people are just unlucky and have a lot of problems but hopefully this will be another good experience.
