Problems upgrading/installing Xfinity Home app

I had the app on my phone. I got a message stating I needed to update the software, which I attempted to do. But it did not work. So I uninstalled the app and have attempted to reinstall several times now. It just stays in the processing mode for days until I click the X to cancel. But it will not install.
