Using computer as remote control for TV listing

Where can I find directions on how to sync my computer Xfinity TV listing so I can use it as a remote control to change the channel on the TV.

to use your computer to change channels on your tv you have just go to the comcast website and click change channel, this mostly only works for motorola boxes currently though.  I find it much easier to just press enter on my remote than to have a pc with me

Re: Using computer as remote control for TV listing

Go here to the channel listing.

http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/tv-listings

Easier to have the remote?  My shop is in the garage, and the TV is downstairs.

I like changing channels from the shop so I don't have to traipse through the house.

It used to work just fine until the TV listings page was changed a week ago. Now it doesn't.

Thank you for the reply.

It's not a case of being easier. The remote control is right next to me.

When using the Xfinity web page I can view what's on each channel, see information about a show, and then select the show I want to watch.

And yes.......... I know there's a guide on the hand held remoye.
