email problems with app on Iphone 5S

I am unable to respond to emails on Iphone. I start to reply and jumps out and back to icon home page. Guess this would be considered a crash? I deleted and resinstalled Xfinity Connect App as advised to from Comcast Chat. I had thought the problem was resolved but later this evening, problem is reoccurring. I have also cleared my cache on my iphone. Any suggestions....

I also, tried to Chat again, but no answer/response. Is there a time frame that this chat is 'on call'?
