Xfinity Connect App malfunctioning on Apple iPad 4 03/28/17

My Xfinity Connect App has been malfunctioning since early 28MAR17.. I'm using Xfinity Connect App on an iPad 4 with Safari browser. The App closes itself down frequently... and immediately does so if I try to send an email. In looking through the email forums, it seems as though there have been a ton of email issues the last couple of days. Any ideas how to fix this? (Already cleared cache,turned off pop up blockers, disabled Ad Blocking programs etc. I've got the latest iOS, all apps are fully updated..... yada yada yada.... Its really frustrating to pay these guys the kind of money that I do only to have this type of issue.....
