Today is the day all of my messages for secondary accounts have been transferred to the Internet site only. The secondary account that I use for banking and investment and doctors shows 999+ messages. These include every message I ever received and or deleted already. Another account has over 500 messages most of which had been deleted already. Does comcast really think I have time to delete all of these messages again so I can see what I really want to see? Can someone from Comcast please help me figure out how to easily do this without losing the things I want to save.
Hi, golfergirl - I'm not quite sure what you meant by saying "internet site only". I assume you used to sign in under your primary email address and view mailboxes from all secondary email accounts. Does it sound correct?
I have always used the connect app on my iPad to view my primary and secondary emails. Viewing on thexfinity.com or .net sight is where all my old 999+ appeared. The sight is also SLOW to load, has very small print making it difficult to read messages...terrible

The only way to remove unwanted messages is to do it manually. Also when we transfer your username secondary or primary all of your settings and current messages will follow the username. The only way old message would appear is if you had the messages before the transfer took place, or if you requested that your messages be backed up to a certain date. If the app is running slow you can delete it and then add it back to your equipment, if you have slow upload while on a laptop or desktop the slow load could be directly related to your internet connection. Please make sure you have a strong internet signal.
There is nothing slow about my internet...the email on the internet just loads SLOW and now I have messages on my secondary accounts and they won’t load. Primary will load. This is the biggest mistake Comcast ever made and I have always been a big fan of my internet, tv and phone service!
@golfergirl - Are you trying to load messages on your iPad or desktop? If you use an iPad, you can add all your email accounts to Apple mail. Since our app doesn't support the view of multiple accounts simultaneously - it could be a solution for you.
I load - when it works - on iPad or iPhone. Almost never on desktop which is not close by. It just doesn’t work properly and from reading posts many many people have the same problem. The app often just spins its wheels and sometimes the Comcast site won’t load either. And so so slow. Using Apple mail really doesn’t solve it , I’m not about to unnecessarily buy more iCloud service from them because Comcast can’t fix these issues. I don’t have problems loading other apps, have uninstalled etc. works sometimes and sometimes not.
@golfergirl - There is no need to buy any iCloud services. I personally have 4 email accounts on my iPhone and didn't pay anything for it. I offered you this option because our app doesn't support a view of all your email accounts in one sign-in as it used to. You have mentioned that you have 999+ emails and some of them have been deleted before. If there are any issues with your email account, it won't work properly on the app either. Please send me a private message with the affected email address.
How do you get 4 email accounts on the iphone...I cannot get any account to work except yahoo and gmail and I want a secondary comcast email that I use for business to show up on the phone! That Comcast pulled back on this feature is so annoying!
I apologize for any confusion as I am replying on behalf of ComcastElla. You should be able to go into your settings and add the email account allowing the phone to pull the configuration information automatically. If this does not work I can provide the IMAP information so you can manually add the account.
Are you removing the domain "@comcast.net" from the user name or are you entering the entire email address?
Was the old way pop?I may need some help setting up the Imap. At one time there was only one way with Comcast mail, then it changed but I never could figure out how to change over. Want to work on it later today.
When you are ready please message so I can assist but here are the IMAP settings for Comcast email.
Incoming Mail Server Name:
Incoming Mail Server Port Number:
993 with SSL ON (143 with SSL ON if needed)
Outgoing Mail Server Name:
Outgoing Mail Server Port Number:
587 SMTP (465 SMTP if needed)
XFINITY username and password required
Thank you for the info. I have set up a secondary account in my mail and it is working fine. It went in there automatically. Now if we could only make the comcast app work properly so that it wouldn’t just spin it’s wheels, I would be a very happy camper. Right now it’s just spinning its wheels and won’t open what is in my primary account. I really don’t want to put that in Mail.
One question, if I delete from one place will it delete everywhere? Also I have done this in my iPad and haven’t checked my phone yet will all of this be in my iPhone as well?
@stvr - What emails do you see? If you had a POP3 account in Outlook on your PC - it usually deletes the emails from the server (our website). POP3 is an old protocol not only for us but any 3rd party email program sets up iMAP by default these days.
@golfergirl - We are working to improve the XFINITY Connect app, have you tried to uninstall/reinstall the app? Yes, if you delete an email on the iPad, website, XFINITY Connect app - it gets removed everywhere. You will need to add email accounts on your iPhone, it won't be added automatically.
Yes I have deleted and reinstalled. Same problem. I am now at my sons home in Houston and it still spins it wheels. Just like at home. Glad they are working on the app...it needs to work!
@golfergirl - I totally agree with you. Does it spin when you sign in with your primary email?
i got it back on iphone outlook...and found if I sign out of stvr and into the secondary account, it works...but it sure is a pain compared to what we used to have...not to mention what we pay!
But thank you for checking back!
@golfergirl -Are you getting an error message? You have mentioned that it spins but do you get an error message?
@dr2 - The default email app on your iPhone can be a better option if you want to see several accounts together.
@golfergirl - I performed several refreshes on your email address. I will follow up with you on Sunday to see if the issue is resolved.
@golfergirl - I hope you had a good holiday week. Did you notice any changes with XFINITY Connect app?
@golfergirl - Ok, please let me know when you will be available. Don't want you to spend your time on this while you are on vacation.
