Do you hear the shows on https://tv.xfinity.com without the headphones?

Re: wired headphones wont work with xfinity tv

We discovered a similar problem using our Dell Windows 10 laptop.  The sound comes through the speaker but not the headphones.  Even though the the sound volume shows the headphone attached.  Other sound sources such as computer sounds and utube work just fine.  We went through the Win 10 diagnostics but could not resolve the problem.  Any ideas.

Sorry, but left off that we used Firefox and Edge browsers.  Ironicly is worked with Chrome.  But my wife likes using Firefox.

I am experiencing the same problem. For me I have no audio for Xfinity Stream on my headphones while using Firefox. It works fine over the speakers or while using Chrome. It's a pain in the butt since Firefox is my browser of choice. Any help would be appreciated to resolve this. Thanks!

Re: wired headphones wont work with xfinity tv

I had the same problem and it was driving me crazy!  I fixed my issue by going into the sound settings on my Windows 7 PC.  I saw two playback devices labeled as speakers.  One of the playback devices had a green checkmark which signified it as the default.  I started playing a recorded show on my PC and I noticed the visual volume indicator rise and fall on the non-default device.  I right clicked the non-default device and deleted it.  Once I deleted the non-default device the sound from my recorded show came through my headphones.

Hope this helps!
