tv app and sports remote not working

tv app and sports remote not working

DCX3400 box and iphone 4 with iOS6.

 

it used to work now it doesn't.

Try deleting the apps and install them again.

 

If it is still not working, try unplugging your box for a minute or so and then plug it back in.

 

I suggest you do this before you leave the house or before you go to bed. It takes some time for the grid to fully load and for the cable box to fully sync back up again.

 

After you have done this, please try again and let me know the results.

no dice, I unplugged it las tnight around 11pm and plugged it back in today at 630pm.

 

the app still says I don't have any tv.

 

now the sports App is saying its not available in my area.  although when my service was first up, the app worked.

have you cleared cookies and cache from the phone, gone to the settings and to the app and cleared all the data?  Have you checked your account online to make sure tv control is enabled?  when you go to the tv tab and to settings on line are your boxes there and listed correctly?   Can you control your tv with the computer?

which is funny because I am watching it right now, and am paying for it right now.

 

What are my next steps?  I called the 1800 # last night and they said the system was down to "make a ticket" so I had to call back.

Your problem is not with the app, it is with your account. Once your account is updated, everything else (like the sports app) should fall into place.

 

I have forwarded your issue to the appropriate team and someone will reach out to you within the next 48 hours.

What info will I need to have on me to have them update my account?

 

SN numbers?  customer service as already verified that they have my box's SN number.

all you can possibly have is your box sn and your account number.  The problem is going to be on comcasts end with your account not set up properly.  Once someone who knows what they are doing sees the issue it will be fixed.

ComcastJoe-

 

So when is comcast going to call me and get this figured out.  To go along with this issue as well, I don't have access to ESPN3 anymore.  I'm not sure if this related to my box not being recongnized, but I just want to get one problem solved at a time.
