Is this happening to all True Blood episodes or just a few? If it is just a few, which specific ones?

Re: silverlight DRM 6003 only with PAID CONTENT LIKE HBO --- HELP !!!

more clues:

"bacholerette' played fine (HULU) logo under playing video,

Borgias didn't play and had DRM 6003 error

the killing "what I know" had the same DRM error

could it be something to do with the items that aren't HULU ?

The issue you are seeing is a Silverlight error. Usually (not always) it is an installation error.

Please completely uninstall Silverlight and all of its files from your computer. Once that is done, try watching a video that did not work again. You will now be prompted to install Silverlight. Follow all the on-screen instructions and then let me know if the video plays.

Let me know the results.

Find the file named "mspr.hds" and rename it to "mspr.hds.old"

You can find the file here:

C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady\mspr.hds

Now try watching the video again and let me know the results.

Re: silverlight DRM 6003 only with PAID CONTENT LIKE HBO --- HELP !!!

bottom line, still not working

i even followed the advice you gave in the other active forum post for this error message and removed silverlight again  - and installed the exact 32 bit version

I am running Windows 7 64 bit

BUT am running IE 32bit because many things, including your website to play shows, don't support ie64bit

I just tried it again and it works fine on content that is with the HULU logo on the bottom, guys on this thread can you try the 'latest house episode' and see if it plays for you -- MINE plays fine

THEN

try to play the latest DALLAS episode and

VOILA

error "we noticed you don't have DRM support enabled for MSFT silverlight error 6003"

PLEASE help tech support

Thanks

Try deleting all the contents in your Playready folder and then try again.

Re: silverlight DRM 6003 only with PAID CONTENT LIKE HBO --- HELP !!!

There were only two files in the \playback folder, msdr.hds and msdr.old (which you had me create) and I did indeed delete them (after closing IE 9 32bit) and still same 6003 error

I even followed all the directions that you gave even today to others relating to this error 6003, which is to go to siverlight, playback tab and make sure enable download is checked (which of course it always has been) and even went to the application storage tab and "delete all'

I even installed silverlight 32bit as per your post of today in a different thread, confirmed version from the silverlight screen of  5.1.10516.0

Please are you telling me this works for everyone else?

I have even disabled my norton 360, and even added all the silverlight exe's to the allowed application list for my firewall.

obviously DRM needs to go back to and forth to approved watching these shows but HELP PLEASE

Thanks

Uninstall Silverlight again and remove ALL Silverlight files from your computer. Do a search and look for any leftover Silverlight files and delete them.

Once you have done that, download this version of Silverlight:

Re: silverlight DRM 6003......after five uninstalls.

ok "JOE" from comcast....you must think my time is worth zero because you just had me do the uninstall and reinstall for the fifth time of the same version -- yes I did it, removed all files silverlight and playback msdr.hds, i also did a full reset of IE9 and the error is still there.

Please issue me a case # and I will phone in to talk to a supervisor...this is very very foolish that you can't admit there is a problem but keep circling back to whatever you database says is the solution.

confirm case #

Re: silverlight DRM 6003......after five uninstalls.

OK I am back again, I read on another thread that "JOE" suggested to install Chrome and see if it still had the same error -- so I did just that and I still have DRM 6003 error with Chrome and IE9.

Please please tell me that you have some idea how to have me modify my settings or IF this is an error in your silverlight progamming and a new mod is coming?

PLEASE

Thanks

Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Local Security Settings.

Now click on top of Software Restriction Policies. If there are no software limitations described, you can right click on Restriction Rules and Choose New Software Restriction Policy.

After that, double click on top of the Enforcement. Choose All Users Apart from Local Administrators. The click on OK and restart your PC.

Now try watching videos again.

Re: silverlight DRM 6003......after five uninstalls.

I have been at it for two weeks. I have called and talked to Techs about a simular error code 6000. Same thing, Hulu works and some non-premium channels. Nothing else. These guys have everybody out here with problems searching for an answer. THE PROBLEM IS NOT WITH OUR COMPUTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT'S XFINITY'S PROBLEM. I have followed all the same instructions: Uninstall, Install, Delete Browser Hist. Delete Cookies, Enable, Disable.................................

I have come to the conclusion that Comcast Joe and his "Forums Team" is a croc.

Re: silverlight DRM 6003......after five uninstalls.

I had a simular problem that I over came several weeks ago. It was an error message 6000. Here's what I got that seems to have worked.

I am running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit system with Service Pack 1 installed.

I have the Silverlight that Xifinity provides.

I have the lastest version of Flash.

I am now using Internet Explorer 9, 32 bit version.

In addition, be sure to call the Xfinity telephone number. I received alot of help through that channel.

Good luck
