iPad app doesn't do anything

iPad app doesn't do anything

Just de-installed Xfinity TV app from my iPad. Cannot see any value in it. It no longer allows me to watch any TV shows on my iPad and cannot find my cable box. So then...what exactly can I do with it?

Try downloading our XFINITY TV Player App to watch videos on your iPad.

 

As for the XFINITY TV App not reading your box, try unplugging your box for a minute or so and then plug it back in.

 

I suggest you do this before you leave the house or before you go to bed. It takes some time for the grid to fully load and for the cable box to fully sync back up again.

 

After you have done this, please try again and let me know the results.

I am having problems trying to play movies on my new Ipad with Xfinity tv and Xfinity player apps with regards to movies I click on to play. They start, and then a second later a message pops up; Sorry, we experienced a problem playing the video. 

What is the problem, I was able to play movies a couple weeks ago, and now I get nothing. What is the issue with these apps?

make sure you are signed in with the primary users credentials, also make sure your zip code is set correctly in the settings and try again.  If that does not work, clear cookies and cache, then restart the pad, uninstall the app, reinstall.  clear app data restart try again

It seems removing and reinstalling the Xfinity app worked the first day. But then on the next day when I tried it and clicked on the Xfinity app to watch a move I experienced the problem again. So I repeated the same steps as before removing the Xfinity app and then downloading the app again to my Ipad. Clicked on the Xfinity app again tried running a movie and got the error message again. So I selected a movie that I didn't fully watch the other day just to resume it, that worked. I tried to click on the other movie that gave me the error message from the beginning when I selected it to watch, and that also worked and began playing.

So now I'm really confused on what or why it wouldn't work from the beginning to play and then started to work after playing a resumed movie. It is really confusing on trying to figure out what exactly is the problem with this situation.

Judging from the number of replies to my message, and the many similar messages, it appears that Comcast is expecting us end users to be testing their app. Not interested. Perhaps I might try again, but not until I see signs that the app has been tested and improved enough to be useable.

are you guys near your wireless router?  the further away you go the video will not work.   I have no issues with the app it works.  Its a matter or comcast having your account coded correctly and you having the right hardware and being in close proximity to the router.

I did what you said and there is no difference. It still is not recognized by the xfinity app.
