I am get this error message

error="invalid_client", error_description="A client id must be provided"

The hardward and software are all updated and functional, but there is a problem on the Xfinity side communicating that I am paying customer to stream the content on that app on my apple tv.  I happens for these apps 

(abc, nbc) and new channel on the A+E network (A&E,AMC, History Channel, Lifetime, Viceland, etc)

but these other apps work fine

HBO, Showtime, CNN, etc...

What do I do?

you posted in the streaming website area but appear to be spaeking about a smart device (apple/android). would you confirm the device you are using?

Same issue on my laptop (mac) been going on intermitantly for months.

Try redownloading flash. That's what i've been having to do.

I have Amazon Fire Stick and I am trying to download some apps. Once I downloaded the app it asks me to activate it by going to their website and entering in an activation code. I use my IPhone to do that and sign in with my xfinity username and password I get a green check that says I am connected and then it open another page that gives me an error message error="invalid_client", error_description="A client id must be provided". What do I do?

I am having the same issue on the Bravo app on my Apple TV. Apple TV is up to date, the app is up to date. I’ve tried restarting and quitting and reopening the app. I can stream bravo shows just fine on the Xfinity Stream app and the Bravo app on my iPhone

If you’re on AppleTV or Firestick and trying to activate using your iPhone/Android, that’s what triggers the error. Trying entering the activation on a laptop computer or desktop. That should allow you to watch on your AppleTV. That said, annoying to have to go through the gymnastics just to get xfinity to work as it should...

No whatever they did to fix it only worked for a little while. Also I had a chat with an angent with username magicram.
