Try completely uninstalling Silverlight then try installing it again. There may be some corrupted files that are preventing video playback. Go here for step-by-step instructions:

http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/help/technical-support/xfinity-tv-player/#silverlight-reinstall

If it is still not working, are you trying to watch the video at home or somewhere else like work?

Joe

Re: error message (400)

It is still not working. I am trying to access the video at home on my laptop. I have been able to watch videos from this site before, but lately the only videos that are working are ones that can also be accessed by hulu.

So sorry, I asked you to do the wrong thing; my apologies. I meant to ask you to try using a different web browser and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

Re: error message (400)

I usually use Google Chrome, but I also tried to play it on Safari, and I received the same error message.

Do you have any anti-virus software installed on your Mac?

Also, try this video and let me know if it works: http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/tv/NCIS/11915/2185638077/NCIS---A-Desperate-Man/videos

Re: error message (400)

that video is working. all videos that are available on hulu.com are also working on my xfinity account. only videos that are not available on hulu.com (or with links to network websites) like showtime movies or other cable network shows are not working. I did not have this problem until the middle of january.

Since Flash videos are working for you, the issue you are having is that something on your computer is not allowing Silverlight videos to play.

Try disabling all pop-up blockers and then try a video again.

Have you installed any new software since mid-January that you are aware of?

Joe

Re: error message (400)

I have enabled plug-ins, java, java script and pop-up windows and have tried watching the videos on both safari and chrome. Neither is working.

I have not installed any new software that i know of except re-installing silverlight at the beginning of february, except when i select "get info" it says the plug-in was created november 20, 2011

Have you tried using your account on another computer?

Are you using the primary log-in on your account or are you using a secondary account log-in? If you are the primary, try using or creating a secondary and see if videos work.
