What specific videos are you trying to watch?

Also, try using a different web browser and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

I've been getting this message off and on for a few days now. First it gives me another error code # and when I fix that problem, it returns to 6030. It's so frustrating to pay all this money for services that are lackluster.

I think it may be because of Silverlight releasing an update. Some customers who are using Silverlight 5.1 may be getting this issue. Of the customers that posted their specifications here, they were all using version 5.1.

Go here and download this version and see if videos work.

Please completely uninstall Silverlight 5.1 from your computer and then try downloading Silverlight 4 here and see if videos work.

Re: Error Code 6030

So after trying to watch the same link (http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/tv/Conan/106941/2235453401/Episode-2255/videos) on a Windows XP system with SilverLight 5.1x - the version Xfinity support is telling us to abandon for the older version - I had no problems at all. It seems to be a problem with either Windows 7 and or the 64-bit OSs out there. Definately something Xfinity needs to address at THEIR end.

Our team and I agree with you 100%. The common thread for all these customers was version 5.1. Now, we know that the issue is between Silverlight 5.1 and Xfinitytv.com. The customers' responses helped us narrow down the issue. We can not duplicate this issue so we appreciate all of your help.

As of now, our team is looking into this issue but no timetable has been established. When we learn anymore, I will update this thread.

Thank you for your feedback,

So, I can view some things that are public...but not HBO. It would seem there is an issue related to permissions.

Re: Error Code 6030

The problem is the updated version of Silverlight, however, using the link above provided by Comcast did not work because it simply reinstalled to latest version again.

First completely uninstall Silverlight using your Control Panel/Uninstall programs.  Then go to Search Files and type in Silverlight, then search.  Delete anything that comes up with Silverlight.  Do the same with the Search word Playready.

Now, if you wish to make sure that the new version is not reinstalled automatically, change your Windows update settings to allow you to decide what to update.  This is set to run automatically by default, so, if you do the change, you will need to pick and choose what to update.

Restart your computer.

Go to this link: http://www.oldapps.com/silverlight.php?old_silverlight=7519?download

And download Silverlight v5.0.

This should work for you.
