Re: error 422

To fix this problem on my computer I cleared out my browser's browsing history.  Apparently Xfinity downloads a large buffer of video before playing the video, so if you do not have the room then no video--aka 422.

Re: error 422

I seem to have the same error code.  Code 422 indicates register errors.  How it happened I don't know.  I think that my upgrade to window 8.1 had something to do with it.  Everything was working until I upgraded.  Another lesson in "If it's not broken don't fix it"!

Re: error 422

I tried watching Under the Gunn on the Lifetime website and the video fitzed out. I tried to get back to the episode on Comcast (after logging in)and I got the 422 error code. When I loaded NCIS I was able to watch without a problem. I think it's a Lifetime issue.

I was getting the same error message, check your date and time settings. Mine were set wrong, and when I fixed it, this and other problems went away. Im not an IT guy, it's just what worked for me

Re: error 422

Thanks for the info. I use a program called CCleaner regularly. It clears my browsing data for all my browsers at on time.

Caution some users do not like CCleaner. I have never had any problems with it. A free version is available from CNET.com

Re: error 422

I cleaned out my cookies, and caches reset Chrome, changed my clock and check out my start out items and there were several that were uninvited so I cleaned out all of those leaving just Chrome and Outlook.  I am not sure which of these worked but one of them did. My guess is cleaning up start up.

Re: error 422

For me it is an SSL error. The site https://secure.xfinitytv.comcast.net looks like has a chaining issue with Firefox.

Here is the KB article from Comodo.com about the issue. https://support.comodo.com/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/683/0/firefox-error-code-sec_error_...

DO NOT DO THIS, but

if you go to https://secure.xfinitytv.comcast.net you have the option to add an exception.  If you do this, DO NOT check the box to perminently save the execption

Re: error 422

I have had 422 in Firefox for 4 days - finally tried IE and it worked fine, but I still wanted to get to the bottom of this.  Read somewhere that my laptop didn't have enough "buffer area".  I finally did Disk Cleanup and found that "Recycle Bin" was 21 GB??  Erased that and now Firefox works with XFinityTV again!

Re: error 422

Buffer usually refers to Cache, in Firefox click on the 3 bars in the upper right corner (below the red X). Then click on HISTORY then CLEAR RECENT HISTORY. This clears Firefox "Cache".

You might give this a try if you have additional problems.
