dvr series priority manage won't sync with tv using ipad

I have downloaded the xfinity tv remote app to my iPad to be able to manage my dvr at times. I have gone in and altered my series priority for my dvr to record. It is easier to do it on the ipad than with the remote scrolling up and down. I got them reordered the way I would like them. But the list on the tv, when I use the remote to view the order does not match what I set on my iPad. How do I get them to sync? There is no 'apply' or 'save' button on the iPad so I don't know what else to do. I just tried to move a show to see if a change would activate it and got the message "syncing error. Changes to series priority are still being processed. Please try again later." and clicking 'OK' is my only option.
