Xfinity TV won't let me watch on my HOME computer...keeps thinking i'm away

Xfinity TV won't let me watch on my HOME computer...keeps thinking i'm away

I can usually connect and watch Xfinity TV while at home in my kitchen computer, but lately i've been getting this message:

 

"To watch Channel 484, you'll need to connect to your home WiFi.
If you're away from home, you can browse
TV Go to watch anywhere.
Browse TV Go"

 

1. I am at home

2. my computer is not using wifi it's connected on my home network (sits directly next to Xfinity router)

3. Why is this happening

 

If there is anyway i can see how many devices are connected and manage them i'd like to know. Hope you can help

If you have X1, you can use this:

 

https://tv.xfinity.com/listings

 

What devices are you referring to?  I can't find it but there is somewhere in your account that has some of that information.

well i have 2 computers, but i only watch tv on the newer one. today it is again giing me that same message. why isnt it seeing i'm at home? ( as for devices i was thinking maybe phones or laptops, tablets but that really doesnt apply here...at least not to my knowledge

Try rebooting your modem.  That might help.

Same problem here. The fantastic Xfinity streaming they brag so much about on their commercials is not true. It is not fantastic. Lots of problems. Alternative facts?
