X1 - watching recording on a laptop

I have been watching my recorded shows at work on my work computer ever since I got X1 a few months ago. All of a sudden on Wednesday it stopped working. When I try to "watch tv online" it takes me to the old version (used to have DVR boxes in each room of the house) that says I can only watch my recording on a tv that I pick from the list (masterbedroom, livingroom, etc). I called on Wednesday and I was transferred 7 times, then told a ticket would be placed and I would receive a call on Thursday. Guess what, no call. I called back today and was transferred 6 times (I asked for a supervisor but was never transferred to one). I give up! Comcast, I have been a customer for 10 years but you are about to lose me..... Any body have any suggestions as to how I can fix my problem with watching tv remotely?

2 things...

 

1.  Call the X1 help line @ 877-896-8678 or 888-739-1379 and ask the CSR to ensure your account is coded with the Cloud Rate Code... yes, sometimes codes just drop off.

2.  At work, check with the It Dept and ask if "streaming" services have been recently blocked in the companies firewall.

if it blocked it, install a vpn (free) like touch vpn. It will send an encrypted stream that the filter may not know.
