X1 iphone app says im not on in home wifi?

X1 cloud dvr app says im not on in home wifi even though i am. Anyone know how to fix that? Iphone.

Comcast doesn't even know how to fix it.  See this forum thread.

what is the name of the SSID that you are connecting to for wifi? Do you rent a modem/wifi or do you own the modem wifi device?

been trying to get them to fix it for almost 2 weeks i give up

trying to connect to the same SSID on the app as my in home wifi. I rent a gateway (dpc3941-T). anyone ever get it to work. can't watch live tv via the app because it thinks im not at home.

lol i think mine wouldnt connect after the recent app update. before that its been working fine. i never got the out of home error.

Try connecting to https://xtv.comcast.net from a laptop or PC, preferably from a wired connection instead of wifi.  If using wifi, ensure you are on your private home wifi network.  If you still get the Out Of Home error you can eliminate the fact that it's an app problem only, and not a Comcast backend issue.

on a previous thread the comcast employee said that the customer's record did not have the correct modem on the account record. since 'it' was working but not associated with the cable TV account the system believed it to be non in same home. Using a smartphone app you can run the xfinity my account app and log in and verify your modem's serial number under the internet tab.
