X1 TV app won't let me connect device

X1 TV app won't let me connect device

I have X1, when start the app, I get the screen saying it's available in my area, it attempts to connect to the device and it just takes me back to the inital screen.

Billing stated I had the correct codes in my account and I have been transferred around to different departmens, and was finally to the App team for the 2nd or 3rd time, who picked up the phone and hung up.

I bit the bullet and tried calling again.

It turned out, yes, I did have the X1 codes in my account, but my account wasn't set up for DVR cloud (no additional charge).  THe wonderful rep added it to my account and BAM! the app worked!
