X1 App will not let me add iPad device

X1 App will not let me add iPad device

I have downloaded the Xfinity app from iTunes on my iPad and tried to register the device.  I keep getting the "Good News" message that says the service is available.  I've had servcie for over a year and I've had the app installed on this same device previously.  I went into my account settings to make sure that I have not gone over the three device limit.

 

I called 1-800 XFINITY and after being transferred 5 times, the last person I spoke with had to escalate the problem to another team.  Seems like this is a common problem but no one who answers the phone has a clue how to fix it.

 

Any help would be appreciated.
