Why we have to pay for SPORTS FEE when I have no sport channels

After I reviewed my account I found out I was paying for a fee that I do not need too....

Based on I have no sports channels in my package .... and I was told that the fee charged to me

was being paid to the overpaid players of the Footbal, baseball and basketball....

Which I haven't watch for serval years....

Our Starter Cable package includes some sports programming.

Regarding the Regional Sports Fee: We charge this fee because our digital channel lineups include a variety of programming that appeals broadly to our customers' interests, including general entertainment, news and sports programming. Under the current distribution model, we offer these very popular regional sports networks on our most widely distributed levels of service, and this fee covers a small portion of our costs to carry these increasingly expensive channels.
