When selecting a channel on website ring is too loud and very annoying

When selecting a channel on "TV Listings" a bell or tone is rung that is TOTALLY ANNOYING and TOO LOUD. It should be configurable to allow the user to disable the tone. Please consider. Trust me, it is not necessary as I change the channel with my remote all the time and no sound is necessary or desired. Is it me or does any one else agree?
