You cannot watch videos on your iPod through the Safari browser but you can watch videos through the Xfinity TV App.

Re: Video error 400

I'm sorry, but this is the error message while using the Xfinity TV app; I already have the app installed and was trying to use it. Is there a port forwarding number that I need to let the router know about?

Try uninstalling than re-installing the app and then try again.

Also, what shows/movies are you trying to watch?

Joe

Re: Video error 400

I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Trying to play anything from Friends to Seinfeld. No videos, just the 400 error after it checks parental controls ( I switched the switch to ON to view adult content). Next suggestion for solution please.

Try this solution from user :

Go to the settings app->Wi-Fi->tap the arrow next to your Wi-Fi network->change the DNS server to 75.75.75.75.

You'll have to do this for every network that streaming doesn't work on. I had this same problem with the Netflix app.

Joe

Re: Video error 400

I have the same exact error. I tried to clear cache and cookies and changed the DNS. Still getting the same error in the iPad2 xfinity app.

Re: Video error 400

Looked at setting, it was already:
75.75.75.75, 75,75,76,76
So I did as suggested, just in case, and still get the Error 400
Perhaps seeing the Error 400 enough times will annoy the both of us.
Do you have another suggestion before I delete the 36mb app?

Are you using the primary log-in on your account or a secondary log-in?

Also, when on a PC or Mac, do videos work on Xfinitytv.com?

Ok, so it is not an account issue.

Are you running iOS4 or higher on your iPod?

Re: Video error 400

wow thanks for the help comcast joe-know-it-all, why can't you just tell us what error 400 stands for and the solution because this is about the only error that seems to never get a straight answer for. This has NOTHING to do with what device is using the app nor the way it's used. (app/onlinestreaming) so will you please find out from someone who really knows the answer and have them solve our problem.

Re: Video error 400

Oh, wow. 3 years later and I get this message that this post is alive. Well, I forgot all about this topic..so I reread the content. I don't even remember if the situation even resolved itself or not. I rarely use the iPod as it has been replaced with the iPhone 5s. So no more problems to report.
Cheers.
