For about a week now the online tv listings page has been unable to load or save my preferences. It remembers the layout (ie Hours displayed and Channel height) but attempting to set any channel as a favorite results in the error box "There was a problem saving your preferences".
I've cleared cache, deleted cookies, logged out/in, tried multiple browsers, and still nada.
Can you visit this page: http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/mytv/cable-boxes and check if you have a default device selected and at least one of them has tv control on.
I can see the page, shows both boxes. I don't have or use DVR though, and not sure what that would have to do with saving "favorites" on http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/tv-listings#
The reason I was asking is because from the saving data perspective that would one of the required data points. If its not present, it would cause that error. Some more investigation is required.
I've had this happen before, it usually resolves itself within 24 hours, but this has been going on for over a week now. Not sure what they changed on the backend, but it flubbed it up.
I believe I've fixed this for everyone who has posted here. Let me know if you're still seeing this issue and I'll look again.
To anyone else who is having this problem, please post to this list and I'll see what I can do.
I think it should be working for you now. If it's still broken let me know and I'll take another look.
I have the same problem with Comcast TV Listings web site. Live Chats have not helped at all. What information do you need to fix the problem for my account? One representative even opened a ticket CR342058721, but then someone closed it without fixing the problem.
I too have this problem. Several weeks ago I lost my Favorites list and when I try to add channels to the list I get the error message "There was a problem saving your preferences". Also, where my ZIP code was usually shown it now says "Change Location". I assume my profile is hosed in some manner. Could someone fix this for me? Thanks.
If you need more info please let me know.
Londres and yyybjy1,
Your acounts should be fixed now as well. Let me know if you're still seeing issue and I'll take another look at it.

I gave up using the online tv listing since both the Ipad and Android app works fine with the favorites. After reading these posts, I figure I would see if this fix would get my online tv listing working again.
Try it now. If you're still seeing a problem with it let me know and I'll take another look.

I'm having the same issue. I added a Device to my devices as you suggest that doesn't help.
I can't add favorites or even save the default zip code in my account.
This has been like this for weeks now. It seems like you are fixing accounts one by one on the comcast
server side? Is there something you can post that individuals can fix themselves or better yet run
a script on the comcast server and automatically fix all accounts.
This should be fixed for you. Let me know if you're still seeing issues and I'll take another look.
As for your larger question, we're currently testing a global fix and are working to get that out asap.
This should not be fixed for all users. Please post to this thread if you're still seeing the issue.
Having the same problem, can't save my zip code or favorites. I am able to change channels on my TV from the listings site though, wasn't even able to do that earlier today.
I think I've fixed your issue. Let me know if you're still having an issue and I'll take another look.
I'm still working on your issue. I'll let you know when I have it fixed.
You should be able to save your settings now. Unfortunately it looks like the problem was that they got wiped out somehow so you may have to reset some of them. Sorry for the inconvenience.
