The App says I have 2 DVR's

The App says I have 2 DVR's

But I have one DVR and one HD Cable Box That Looks Very Like My DVR But Has No DVR Capability

(an admirer of A.A. Milne and the way he capitalized things like that in titles) 

 

What the heck ?

From the app, you can change the channels on the TV that has your DCH3200 HD non-DVR box connected to it.

 

Just click the TV Listings tab and then click the network logo or program that appears in the grid.

You miss the point.

 

The app is incorrectly identifying the box as a DVR

What does it matter, it won't allow you to do any dvr functions, all you can do is change the channels with it.

What matters is that the app is showing bad info.

 

It is WRONG and should be corrected.

 

Reference the Halfling/Dragon Principle,

I personnaly choose to reject Mediocrity.  I believe there is just too dang much in the world.

If you are OK with "good enough", than please be so kind as to not prevent someone like me from striving for better.

Thank you for that.

I am using version 1.10.1 of the app -- should be the latest

I am using it on an iPad (1/original) and on an iPhone 4

Both show the non-DVR incorrectly.

I'm having the same problem. My hd boxes, those small hdmi hd boxes, are being identified as dvrs on my xfinity app. I'm using the latest app from the apple app store on my iPad. I do have a dvr too and it's identified correctly.

Hi all,

 

This is a defect which our team is currently working on. I will update you when a new release is suppose to come out. As of now, I do not have a timetable or a date.
