Most times when clicking on the "Watch on TV" button, found under each channel listing, this error comes up. Waiting and trying again does not work. Reloading does not work. Rebooting does not work. Xfinity TV Guide Channel selection does not work.
Out of curiousity, is the box you are trying to control displayed in the lower right hand corner of the web page?
If not, click the Gear icon next to the name to bring you to the "TV Settings" webpage. Scroll down to "Device Settings" and click the "MANAGE CABLE BOXES & DVRS" button (or just click this link). You can click the "SHOW NAME ON TV" button to ensure your cable box is setup correctly.
If it is setup correctly, then I would think someone from Comcast might need to get involved.

I just posted about this same problem. There has to be a lot of people having this same problem but no body says anything. It used to work until all the upgrades just like the new red info line across the top of the guide. That's probably is what is causing the errors...so frustrating.
Hi All, are you still not able to change channels through the guide?
all weekend, I have been unable to change channels using the TV Remote app. I have tried different devices, no success. I keep getting the "Sorrry! An error occured during this request".
Any help would be appreciated
