Steam viewing on PC keeps being interrupted by error 106000.12

As I said in the title, when I try to view anything recorded to the DVR on my PC through streaming I get the "error 106000.12". It happens while I watch any show recorded to my DVR. This problem started 10/2/2017.

 

I also tried to watch the shows on my mobile phone instead, but the recording randomly skips around, so I can never finish watching a show. I tried it again just now and, when I try to resume where I was watching on my PC, the video plays for about 3 seconds and then skips back to where it started from again.

Hi, I moved your post to the web streaming site area of the forum.  As you may know when you record two copies are made, one on your home DVR and one by the cloud DVR. Using any streaming app or web site (PC) you are viewing the cloud DVR. I will escalte this since I'm not familiar with that error code.

This is a playback error, I am looking into the resolution now. I'm not sure if the error is caused by our system or if it has to do with the DVR itself. If you have this error do you get it while watching live content or on demand content? Do you get an error while trying to view the content on your DVR?

I'm not getting the error, but it has popped up on the forum every once in a while and no rep has explained what it is. It seems to be related to viewing recording on the cloud dvr. Two reports today, here is other:

Thank you for your concern and wanting to get more information on this error. I have been unsuccessful at duplicating the same error on my end. I am confident we will get this issue resolved, to do so I will need more information from those who gets this error message.

An hour-long show I recorded to the cloud DVR earlier this evening crashes at about 35 minutes into viewing it.

 

The diagnostic returned the following with the error code 106000.12:

Also, another hour-long program I had scheduled to be recorded to cloud DVR last evening only recorded the first 5+minutes of it.  No error code when viewing.  It just stops as though I reached the end of the program.  ARGH!

 

There's always some new problem with this streaming TV thingy that I've been trying to tolerate since June, and no customer rep ever knows anything about how it works.  The thing is a friggin' nightmare!

Thank you for that information jwohara, I know that your recordings pull directly from the DVR or cloud DVR service. If you get this playback error on your end please try another browser for me and please try rebooting your cable equipment to see if the error gets cleared up. In the meantime I will alert our engineering team of this error to see what could be a possible fix. Please reply back with your findings.

I just tried out playing one of the recordings I keep getting the error with in two different browsers- it does happen in both Chrome and Firefox browsers.

Are you trying to stream while in the states, or are you out of the country trying to view content?

error 106000.12

I have been getting the same error code.   And experiencing the "short" recordings of my programs. I have done the reboot of my modem, my router, and my devices.  It is extremely frustrating.  This is not what we pay such high fees for.

When you reboot your equipment does that clear up the error message? Are you streaming in the U.S or out of the states?

I am am a contracter tech with Comcast and have the same problem. I tryred a hard reboot on the modem and it still didnt work.

Has there been any resolution to this?  I have once again gotten this error on macbook while watching a show I recorded to dvr earlier this week.  I am on my home network, and have found this happens at least a few times  week.  Happens in both Safari and Chrome.

Getting the same error.  For what I pay each month for TV, internet, and phone, this is ridiculous.  These constant errors and lack of resolution are wearing me down.  Fios is looking more attractive all the time.
