So this is ridiculous

So why can't I watch the xfinity tv app on my iPad while it's hooked up to a tv? It gives me an error message saying it can't be played with its current conditions.. That's a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

How are you "hooking up" your iPad to your TV?  Or do you mean "while my TV is connected to my xfinity STB"?  I use my iPad xfinity TV app by using wifi.  (Disclaimer: I have the X1 System)

AirPlay, Google Cast and HDMI connection from mobile to television is not currently supported due to DRM (digital right management) requirements by studios. You can connect a laptop/computer via HDMI and Google Cast (via Chrome browser).
