Silverlight does not work in Firefox - keeps saying it needs upgrade

Silverlight will not work with Firefox in Mac OSX.

I've completelly removed all components of Silverlight and uninstalled several times.  Completely reinstalled several times.  Restarted several times.  All done via the "ugrade" link that comes up when I cannot play a video in xfinity.  Message is:

"Please upgrade your Microsoft Silverlight plug-in to begin watching this video."

Please help.  Do I have the wrong version of Silverlight?  I have installed the latest version. Do I need to install an earlier version?

You have an older version of Silverlight installed.

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the appropriate link below:

Mac users

This is a patched version that fixes most video playback issues and gets you out of the "Please install/upgrade Silverlight" loop.

Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.

Joe
