X1 app - now only shows tvgo stations- when trying to access on demand - there are no tv shows , movies , when accessing networks - the networks show but when clicking on any netork - there are no shows or events - what happened? it worked as late as last sunday

are you in your home? if a portable device is it on your wifi? from a desk/laptop at site http://xtv.comcast.net do you get all channels (in the home while connected via ethernet or wifi)?

 

If outside the home you can only get the tvgo, if you have DNS set to google's dns servers for example, you won't be able to stream in home.

I see what you are saying. Mine is doing the same thing. This needs to be fixed.

I am at home. I have all xfinity xfinity wifi. Others have the same thing happening. Comcast again!! FIX IT

Which of the X1 apps are you talking about, TV, TVGO, TVRemote? All apps are working correctly on all myviPhones and iPads.

x1 tv app - it all of a sudden deleted 100 + stations and all movies & tv series etc   - verified by others as well

it was fine until last sunday - then there was an ipad update 

 

now it is a complete waste in home

For me, Xfinity TV app is working with no problems on iPhone 5, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S Plus, iPad Air, iPad Air 2 , and iPad Pro, all running IOS 9.2.

All those devices have the latest version of the Xfinity TV app.

I am sorry how does that answer help? The latest versions don't work? In my opinion otherwise Comcast has done something with my and others accounts

The X1 tv app is totally worthless.  Worked well until this past Sunday. Comcast took away all on demand. I have written and called. No one at Comcast can answer any question. They can't seem to see what is wrong.  Tv advertising locally keeps saying on demand on any iPad computer or device. NOT!    Can anyone at Comcast figure this out?  I AM PAYING FOR THIS SERVICE!   Thank you.  Is anyone home?  Or listening?

I'm using latest apps on iphone and ipad too with no 'real' issues other than can't swipe to left on recordings on ipad to get delete button. 

 

do you have access to a desktop or laptop to access http://xtv.comcast.net ? If you can't get that to work then no ipad/iphone app will work. there are few requirements... have to be on your own (not the xfinitywifi) ssid, must use dns that belongs to comcast (not google's for example). are you able to check that on a desk/laptop?

it shows 2 shows I watched in saved

 

all on demand is blank. It Sather was a probe retrieving on demand programs  try again

 

i have Comcast everything here. 278 a month including internet at 100. 

 

This is so aggravating. Comcast won't help me

not sure what 'blank' means in this case. do you have an on demand menu choice on the xtv.comcast.net web site after logging in ? It is sounding like you might be able to contact 800-comcast and select billing. Ask billing to check your entitlements especially about on-demand. many times billing will have something that is stopping ability to get on-demand while not interfering with recording regular 'linear' channels.

Blank means the menu is there. When I choose on demand it says there is none. My tv on demand is fine. Works perfectly on my X1 box. I don't  think it's a billing problem but I'll call. How do I get us customer service? I Don't have 3 hours to talk to a person from abroad reading from a script they don't understand  At least I am polite about Comcast  offshore terrible customer service

sounds like the app is fubar as installed. press and hold the icon until it 'shakes' with an x on it. press it. re-download the app and login. that will probably fix it. I've had to do it the xfinity TV remote app and the xfinity TV app.

couple of quick questions

1. Surround sound. Seems to work much better with on demand than with dvr recordings   Is that normal?

2.  On demand pixilates a lot on demand only. When the pixilated happens the sound cuts 

 

is it due to heavy on demand usage in the area?

 

my signal strength is fine

what equipment are you using to watch the on-demand? (DVR or a satellite box). If on a satellite box, how does the on-demand asset play on the DVR? Have you tried to watch the same stream on a smart device or lap/desktop computer to see if it plays well there?

the set top boxes that can operate by them selves alone are called x1 hubs (DVR or XG2). the set top boxes that must use the services provided by a hub are called satellite boxes. think of it as something akin to master/slave boxes perhaps.
