Problem: Streaming TV on my Desktop.
I'm on the Newburyport, Massachusetts feed.
I'm using Windows 10 Pro with the latest update,
a Dell 43" monitor running at 3840 x 2160 with 64 Gigs of RAM,
a NVIDIA GTX 1060 with 6 Gigs of RAM and
an Intel i7-7700 @ 3.60 GHz.
I watch TV in a separate browser window while working on my PC.
Here is the problem.
There has always been about a 15-20 second delay between the Television and the Computer for the same station.
Now the Computer streaming is going flakey.
The picture will start showing Adds where they shouldn't and switch back and forth between the Add and the show.
The show will skip, and back up to repeat the same scene 2 or 3 times.
The stream will Freeze requiring a Stop and Restart.

 

I've already done the cache thing.

What is wrong with Comcast's streaming ?

It seems that you can no longer edit your own posts...

So here is a reply to my own post.

Update as of Sunday morning, November 5, 2017...

This morning I gave it another try.

I got the error that said there were no listings available.

I backed up in the address bar to the base xfinity site and got a channel search page.

I did a search for Fox News and got results.

I clicked on the Fox News station and was immediately REDIRECTED to the HULU web site where the channel started to play with an on-screen message that said there might be an extra charge!

I closed the window!

I tried about an hour later and all seemed to be fine.

Again I ask, What is the problem with the programers at Xfinity ?

to edit you must sign in at the top right of any page. the triple dot menu on right side will then have the edit command. Your PC may have a malware/virus that is intercepting your traffic. Do you have the Comcast supplied Norton Anti-virus installed and have used it to scan for problems?
