Problem watching Xfinity on laptop

I am having the same issue as others when attempting to watch either a movie or tv show on my laptop. I am seeing the "please install silverlight" message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times with no success. I notice when this is occuring, you are requesting information, which I am enclosing.  I have tried the "patch" as well with no success.

Re: Problem watching Xfinity on laptop

Make sure you install Silverlight from the Comcast modified one, and not the public one from Microsoft.

How are you uninstalling Silverlight? Your computer shows that Silverlight says "Unknown". This usually means that some files are still on your computer but not all of them.

Thanks ComcastJoe.  I fixed my problem by switching my browser to Foxfire. It is working now.

There is something in IE9 that is blocking videos from playing. If you want to watch videos in IE9, try uninstalling IE9 and then download and install it again. Hopefully this uninstall will get rid of any conflict that exists.

Thanks,
