Plugins and Extentions

I have read numerous posts regarding the same problem I have experienced, Error 6013 and 570. Denied playback of programs that should be accessible. I have followed the directions given by your staff to no avail. I have deleted this and reinstalled that, changed browsers and different shows. Yet I and others keep getting told we do not have DRM enabled which is bogus.

I have opened Silverlight and varified that DRM was checked. I have taken it off and reinstalled it several times. I have deleted all the cookies and temp files. I have even experienced this with a clean Win 7 install. I have installed the latest/newest version of Flash, Java and Silverlight with no result. Yet it will play network show such as ABC, CBS and NBC. I only have this issue with TNT, TruTv, AMC, A&E and a few others. However I can go to their website and log in and the same show plays perfectly.

Now I question if there is an issue on your end. Maybe the extentions on the server side need to be updated or modified. I am running:

Download our patched version of Silverlight that resolves most video playback issues:

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the appropriate link below:

Windows Users

Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.

Re: Plugins and Extentions

Okay, I uninstalled the version I had and installed the download provided by the link on this page and here is what I got when I tried to play Hardcore Pawn:

This video cannot be played.

We notice you do not have DRM support enabled for Microsoft Silverlight (Error 6013).

For instructions on how to fix your problem click below.

So it is doing it with yours also and yes I was signed in.

Try clearing any hidden PlayReady cache. To do that:

Go to Start and search "cmd". "cmd.exe will appear and right-click it and Run as an administrator. Now enter the folling into the command line:

cd %ProgramData%\Microsoft\PlayReady\
del *.hds
rmdir /S Cache

You'll be presented with a Yes/No prompt. Hit Y and press Enter. Windows will delete the hidden Cache folder and all its content.

Joe

Re: Having trouble running and installing silverlight program.

when I try to run a video in either Chrome or IE Silverlight crashes.  This started to happen when I updated Silverlight to the latest version.  I've removed Silverlight multiple times and reinstalled from the link in this forum but Silverlight still crashes

Re: Having trouble running and installing silverlight program.

Has this issue been resolved?  I too am having the same problem...  I have read that the Tablet PC Input Service must be running because Silverlight uses it for some access; I have enabled the service and I can not watch any Silverlight programming on Xfinity...

Re: Having trouble running and installing silverlight program.

No it is stall an open issue to me. I have done everything they requested from deleting all the caches and cookies, replaced Siverlight with there version (older) and same as yourself it makes no difference which browser I am using. Whenever I try to watch Hardcore Pawn, The Glades, Storage Wars or anything on AMC, A&E or TruTV whether I do it from the page that says Never Miss a Show or if I go to the page for that show I am always told I do not have DRM Enabled which is is a LIE. I can open up the software for Silverlight and the box is checked. I have the latest Java and Flash as well but it makes no difference I still get that error message. Lets see I think I can remember mmm 707 and 6013 if I remember correctly. So I have been going to the actual website and logging in there I just have to tell them that I have Comcast then I can watch the whole thing episode. So I have added AMC, TruTv and A&E to my favorites I just log in at comcast.net first. Oh I forgot TNT as well.

Re: Having trouble running and installing silverlight program.

Yes I dumped the deep seated cache as per your request, didn't help. If I didn't express this before this was a clean install of the OS with nothing added with the exception of Office 10 when it first happened. No Steam No Nero No nothing except JAVA, FLASH and Silverlight. (and the drivers for mobo and the Nivida 460 GT). I had not even added the Creative Labs X-Fi sound card at the time itwas fucntioning with the onbaord sound that Win 7 64 bit had installed during installation.
