Playing online shows

More and more I'm having problems with playing online shows.  It started with IE having issue, so I woud open chrome to play.  No with IE I'm being told I need to "upgrade my Xfinity player" for hd quality shows.  With Chrome I'm being told to update silverlight.  However, when I do Silverlight tells me no because I already have an up to date 64 bit version.  Now, I don't have this problem ever with amazon, netflix, hulu etc.  Whats the deal.   It's very frustrating and disapointing.  I have spent hours on this!

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the appropriate link below:

 

Mac users 

 

Windows users 

 

Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.
