Outside TV streaming

Outside TV streaming

I pay an exorbitant amount of money for monthly services with Xfinity. (Cable, phone, Internet and security) I just want to move a tv outside and stream a football game to it on Saturdays; is there a way to do this??? I have tried several expensive routes and none have worked.

How far from your house? If you can get wifi out where you want the tv you could use a laptop connected to your tv with a hdmi cable and the streaming web site. If farther than wifi will reach, you could run a network cable out there to give you a wired connection, then you could again use a laptop as described or the xf roku app.

Re: Outside TV streaming

I have tried the android tablet and the HDMI cable from screen beam, that I just purchased, to make it work and I get the statement
Please disconnect any external devices including hdmi and try again.
Please advise and thank you for your help!

If it's available in your area, trade in one of your XiDs for an Xi5, a wireless box. Depending on your wifi coverage, you can bring it in and out of your house when you need it.

Re: Outside TV streaming

So, if that is not available, then there is no other way to accomplish this?? We have been with Comcast for 20+years! It's not like we're trying to get free cable. We have four boxes.

Mobile devices using the app can not connect with hdmi, the app blocks it, but a pc using the web site will work with hdmi.

Other options may be running a cable outlet to the spot where you want the tv or use a Roku and the Xfinity Stream TV app

Re: Outside TV streaming

Comcast Andrew,
Having an outlet outside is not really feasible in my area of the country! It is too humid and we have too much rain for anything to last very long outside! Is it a roku stick and then I can put my Comcast app on it and see it on my smart tv??

Nope, the pc needs a hdmi output, then use standard hdmi to hdmi cable

Andrew,
That post only stated about X1 and x15 boxes. Not the role and XFINITY app
