Newly recorded shows not appearing in the xfinity TV app, help?

The only way I can get a new recording to show up on the app is to go in the xfinity TV app and go to settings and select "change household settings" This acts as a log out feature. Then I log back in and the newly recorded show appears. I know this can't be the way to get newly recorded shows from my DVR to appear on the TV app. Also, when I go to scheduled recordings, it says I don't have any scheduled recordings when I clearly have something scheduled to record at home within a few hours. In the TV remote app, it shows that I do in fact have something scheduled to record unlike the xfinity tv app. Anyone have any solutions to this? I have an X1 DVR box.
