Microsoft shuts down Silverlight.net

Microsoft shuts down Silverlight.net

Just recently announced " Microsoft shuts down Silverlight.net ..."

See   http://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-shuts-down-silverlightnet-wont-talk-about-future-updates

Maybe it's time for Xfinity (Comcast) to move to something else.

Re: Microsoft shuts down Silverlight.net

The dowload and a .com sight is available.

But anything new is not seen in the future.

This particular version is a year old.

Nothing like a mixed signal.

the comcast plugin with silverlight link is in this thread.  What exactly are you trying to do with this.?

Just an FYI about the possible ending of Silverlight.

Re: Microsoft shuts down Silverlight.net

I have heard that CC is phasing out the use of Silverlight and is going to use the Flash platform instead.

Interesting.  Netflix also uses the silverlight plugin, I wonder how this will affect future development with respect to security on streaming.  Perhaps flash has built in the anti-piracy protocols?
