Uninstall Silverlight from your computer and make sure all files of it have been removed.

Now try downloading Silverlight from here and let me know if it works.

Re: Microsoft Silverlight Update

I'm having the same issue, but Microsoft tells me that I already have the most recent version of Silverlight installed.

It seems to be that the Xfinity TV site doesn't understand that the 64-bit version of Silverlight (which I have no choice to use - I have Windows 7 64-bit) is actually valid.

This wasn't an issue a week or so ago.

Try using the IE 9 32-bit version and see if videos work. Try using a different web browser and let me know if it works. This is not a permanent solution but it will help us narrow down your issue.

The solution appears to have been to access Xfinity TV online with Firefox - the site detected that Silverlight needed to be updated... but actually forced down the 64bit version of Silverlight, instead of the 32bit.

Then, coming back with Chrome (the original browser), everything works just fine.  It's almost as if the site couldn't properly detect the OS version with Chrome.

This! This solution worked for me.

Seem when using chrome it downloads the 32 bit version instead of 64!
