Losing sound on my DVR

Losing sound on my DVR

For the past 3 months my DVR/cable has started to lose volume.  Volume controls are now hovering around 70 and no increase in volume is heard even if I go to a higher setting.  Volume drop is for all channels and all recordings.  Today I lost sound all together, thinking it was my TV, I installed it onto another Comcast cable box, sound was clear and loud.  

 

I have checked my cable connectors, all good and secure.  I have yet to unplug my cable box to see if it resets the sound somehow.  Ideas?
