License issue 3338 using HDMI Lightning Digital AV Adapter

I purchased a HDMI to Lightning Digital AV Adapter so I could watch Xfinity TV in my bedroom at home. I get license issue 3338 attempting to use the Xfinity app this way. The odd thing is I could use the adapter on my daughter's TV 4 hours away but I can't use it in my own home where I pay for Xfinity Service. How can this be resolved?

Due to programmer restrictions, output to an external monitor from mobile devices is prohibited (via HDMI, AirPlay, GoogleCast, and other mirroring). Some customers have had success using a laptop with HDMI output since there isn't a technically feasible way to restrict that (since laptops regularly connect to external monitors that way).

I'm not sure why you were able to use on your daughter's TV since it is supposed to be 100% restricted.

There is an XFINITY Stream app for Roku if you have access to one.
