Keep getting error message using the XFINITY TV Remote app for Android.

Keep getting error message using the XFINITY TV Remote app for Android.

The message is: 

"An unknown error occurred during this request. Please try again."

This happens on both of my Android phones even though they're on different version of the OS.

Try signing out of the app on b oth devices, then sign back in.  See if this resolves the issue.

If not, there may be a communication "glitch" for your georgaphic location which should resolve itself in a couple of hours.

I have done that several times, and this error has persisted for months.

Out of curiosity, I installed the iPad version of this app and I get a similar error message:

"Sorry! An error occured during this request." 

I'm guessing it's a problem on Comcast's side, but not a self-correcting one since it's been going on for at least 3 months.

I have the app on my smartphone (Android) and on my iPad (iOS), and it was doing this a few months ago, and it wouldn't start working properly until I rebooted the device. Then, I hadn't experienced the issue for several months until tonight. For a while, rebooting the device worked, but then even that stopped "fixing" the problem on the iOS device. On the Android device, the issue occurred, but there's a "try again" option that worked. What is up with your software and/or firmware?
