Incorrect Time Zone

Incorrect Time Zone

This is a message I'm getting when I go to TV Listings:

 

"Your timezone is not the same as the listings you're viewing. 
Change your computer clock to change the grid."

 

I checked my clock settings, and everything is correct. I'm on a Mac using El Capitan. I'm located in Marstons Mills, MA 02648 using the lineup "Comcast Mashpee Digital."

 

I know Daylight Savings Time went into effect today; would this be causing the problem? Any suggestions?

If you are talking about the online program guide, then this seems to be a semiannual bug with their site.

 

Also, DST ended today, not started.

Yes, I meant to say DST ended. LOL Thanks for your input-- so, I'll just ignore that message; hopefully, it will get straightened out by itself.

As ALWAYS. Comcast doesn't get much of anything right except they do know how to "bundle" your services and raise your price!

If you go into time settings on the computer (under Windows at least) and turn off or uncheck the auto-adjust for daylight savings time, it will get rid of the red time zone warning on the screen.

 

Your computer will still keep correct time.

I'm on a Mac; there doesn't seem to be any place to uncheck that option.

Yeah,I'm getting from searching that they know this happens and just don't care.

Regarding kheffington's suggestion to uncheck the Auto-adjust for DST;..  I tried it but it did not work for me.  Darn!!!.

Hi all, I was able to duplicate this issue and tried kheffington's step and unclicked the Auto-adjust for Daylight Savings time and the error went away.  I am reaching out to my advanced techs for further review and fix of this issue and will update this thread accordingly.

Hi, our advanced techs have been made aware of this issue and are working diligently to get this issue fixed. There is a workaround of  going into time settings on the computer  and uncheck the auto-adjust for daylight savings time that seems to working for now.
