HBO GO does not recognize that I have an Xfinity TV Subscription

HBO GO does not recognize that I have an Xfinity TV Subscription

Over the weekend I got Xfinity internet and TV and ordered HBO. When I try to set up my HBO GO account, it tells me this:

Access to this content requires an XFINITY® TV subscription*.

* Requirements

  • XFINITY TV subscription
  • The network you are trying to watch must be included in your service

 

And, when I view my account online it shows I only Have internet and no TV service.

 

I believe the problem is that for some reason Xfinity online doesn't indicate that I have TV service, and when HBO GO goes to verify that I do, it won't let me in.

 

If someone could please get back to me on this, I would be very grateful. I was on Xfinity customer service for 2 hours and the person on chat couldnt help me.

Your TV service is not coded into your account, but it might show up on its own in a few days because somebody has some batch job that will update it from some paperwork or move some information between some systems, I don't really know how comcast does this sort of data processing.

 

If not, somebody should be able to add the features to your account.

Try getting the person on the phone to open a ticket and describe exactly what is wrong,

and somebody with access will fix it.
