Extreamly loud volume during commercials while watching shows on Comcast.net

Extreamly loud volume during commercials while watching shows on Comcast.net

I am watching a TNT show now on Comcast.net, "The Last Ship" pilot and during the commercials, the volume level gets extreamly loud which is not only painful to listen too till I get get lower the volume but it is also agrevating which disturbs others in my home.

I believe there was a federal law that was passed at least a year ago preventing broadcasters from raising the volume during commercials, the issue that I am experiencing now on Comcast.net.

Does anyone have information that can address this problem?  Is Comcast.net not subject to this law?   Who in the heck besides the advertisers find this helpful to draw attention to their paid advertising, when in fact what I find myself now doing is muting the sound during commercials when I can get to the remote fast enough.

If this is the norm on Comcast.net, then I don't see myself watching any further recorded broadcasts on Comcast.net

I totally agree!  I have Comcast as my internet provider and DirectV as my TV solution and am finding this problem has continued on both.  I have now taken to either only watching programs that I have recorded on my DVR or hitting the mute button the minute ads come on.  The Feds need to enforce this law!

The Feds did pass a law against this,  I reported the a couple of commercials that were very loud but got no response.  They don't care.
