Error 900|101000.101002.101006

When is this going to be fixed?  I am getting it more and more each week on shows I was able to watch before on line.   Is there a fix that I am not aware of?

Same thing has been happening to me.  They told me they would have it fixed a week ago.

I hate Comcast.  Yet, another rate increase and I can't even watch shows on line anymore. DirectTV is getting my money.

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

Hi folks,

Right now I'm watching tv online.   I clicked on the "Watch TV" button above and selected last night's program "Suits".

I'm using Win 7, IE 9 , have current flash, and silverlight..  Java is not on this machine.

I don't know if locality is an issue, but for the record, I live in Massachusetts.

Has anyone had any sort of indication from comcast what the problem is?   I've done a google but can only find references to these forums and one facebook/twitter comment by a comcast employee..

Back to Suits..

ciao, bj

EDIT~ There's quite an extensive discussion or 2 over at :

Yep, I'm having this same error, had 3 different chats about it with 3 different Comcast reps online, and I was told by the 3rd rep that I needed to 1) update Adobe Flash (which I did) and 2) disable comcast's advertisements (go into email, click on the hyperlink for advertisements under the ad on the right-hand side and disable adds, logout and log back in) and this would fix it from happening some of time but it was not a 100% solution.  I'm still having the problem--got on this morning and I got the error message yet again, so I don't think this "fix" really worked.  THIS IS A TERRIBLE PROBLEM COMCAST REALLY NEEDS TO FIX--it is destroying my viewing @ xfinity.com

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

This is the error # I am getting (Error 900|101000.101002.101005) not 101006, like the subject of the thread says.  Basically the video won't play and it tells me to refresh and try playing the video again, which never has worked, it just gives the error again.

I started out getting the error ending in 06 now it is 05.  You are right, bottom line - it doesn't workand they need to figure it out.

Funny thing I can watch on one computer and not the other which leads me to believe it's a setting somewhere.  Don't ya think  this great big tech company should know what the settings should be since they advertise watching online so heavily????

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

I've been on two more chats with xfinity employees about this error since this morning--that makes 5 conversations.  They are telling me it has to do with some conflict with Adobe Flash still.  My own office's tech guy completely uninstalled the latest Adobe Flash player and reinstalled it this morning and then threw up his hands when I got the error again trying to view Dexter!  That last xfinity tech guy I talked to a few minutes ago reset my HOME cable and modem even though I am trying to watch from work--now how is that going to solve a problem with xfinity's website when I am at work trying to watch Dexter from that computer???  LOL!  (not possible because the problem is not with my cable connections it is with Xfinity's website).  Now I get to go home an unhook my modem and box for an hour to "reset codes."  Yippee, more work for me...

i hate that you get this for one video .. but not another ...  that you can watch some things but not others.

for me .. if i can watch some of the videos but not others ... it tells me it is not a problem on my end .. it is a setting issue on theirs

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

Well, well, well what do you know....  I was having trouble in IE viewing some pdfs in my internet browser at work yesterday, so my tech guy talked me into using Firefox instead--he told me IE is garbage.  I switched over to Firefox, loaded the latest Adobe Flash version and it appears that I can now view all the videos on Comcast's site!!!  Wondering now if it is just IE that was causing all the problems.   Too though, remember that I disabled Comcast ads (see my earlier post in this thread).  Yipee I can now see my shows on Comcast's site.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that I don't run into any further problems.  Scrap IE and download Mozilla Firefox and see if that changes anything for you :-)  PS--I posted this same post in a thread about Error 900|101000.101002.101005 (5 not 6), but is was the same viewing problem....

EDIT:

My successful viewing was short-lived.  I watched two episodes in Season 3 of Nurse Jackie this morning and then when I went to watch the next episode, episode 9 I got the error again!  However, if I skip that episode and got to the next episode, epsideo 10, episode 10 will play, which makes NO SENSE!!!

EDIT AGAIN:  I was told by a Comcast rep to turn off ads.  You can either turn off ads in your comcast email by clicking Ad Info on the rh side under the advertisement in your email or you can get to that same place (turning off ads) if you click at the Ad Choices link under where the video plays and turn off all ads except you can't turn off the third party ones.  I having a hunch that it is certain (but probably not all) of Comcas'ts third party ads that are making the videos stall, which is why I was able to view a couple this morning but stalled on episdoe 9 but then could view episode 10.  Comcast needs to fix this!!!

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

Reading the deluge of reports of this issue after having the same problem while watching "Homeland" online.

This is exactly like the MS Silverlight player on Netflix error that I would receive after watching a number of episodes or movies - and, of course, according to Netflix and MS it was an error w/ MY computer.

What we actually discovered was that it was an issue w/ Silverlight and it was creating this file or not clearing out the DRM file - and this would create the error.

Now, with Netflix online the issue was so very prevalent that they (Netflix working with MS) created a "Fix-It" tool to repair the issue.  I JUST ran this fix it tool a moment ago and will see if it works. If it does NOT work - I know where the folder at fault is located and will manually remove it and see if this repairs it.

Wish me luck - and I hope that this is the correct repair so that we can start watching online w/o having to deal w/ calling into Comcast for tech help that isn't apparently helping people at this time.

FIXED !!!! Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

I fixed the issue and it was easy.

I am running comcast online viewing on Google Chrome browser. Although I had previously used the MS "Fix-It" on the Silverlight it did NOT 'Fix' the issue.

I then went to the "Settings" section in my Chrome browser and then, in the upper right corner I type in the word "Cache" and when directed to the "Cache" section and then select the "Clear Browsing Data" section that is pointed to. When clicking on this "box" a pop-up box that is (also) called "Clear Browsing Data" appears.

With only 2 boxes checked or 'ticked' off ("Empty the cache" and the "Clear data from hosted apps") clearing these two areas out it resolved the Comcast "Error 900|101000.101002.101006" code and I am watching "Homeland" again at this moment.

Noe.  I've tried everything that has been suggested and still get the same stupid error.

I still say it has to be some little known setting somewhere on the computers that is prohibiting viewing because I have two computers; I can view on one but the error message on the other.

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

Yet again today!

It seems that I get only one chance to watch a day. meaning it works only one time and then I get the (Error 900|101000.101002.101006)

I can watch 1 video a day, not even a whole video, but when I stop a video and try to start it again it gives me the error... for the rest of the day. Until the next day and it will work only 1 time again. But only one time!!!!

(Error 900|101000.101002.101006)

Why is that?

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

b.knowles,

Has the issue returned since you cleared you browser cache and data?

All others,

If you have tried clearing your browser cache and data like b. knowles posted earlier in this thread and videos still do not work, would you be able to help us further investigate this issue by sending us your network info? We will provide you step-by-step instructions.

Thanks

ComcastJoe

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

I have done EVERYTHING "ComcastJoe" has mentioned to fix this problem. It still is not working. For over 2 MONTHS I have not been able to watch any of my shows online. None of the problems are on our, THE PAYING CUSTOMERS, side. It all has to do with an Update that  Comcast did to their main systems. If this issue is not resolved by Monday, August 12th, 2013......I will be cancelling my contract with Comcast (at least 15 years down the drain) and switching my cable, internet, and phone providers.

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

What information are you looking for?

I use Windows 7 Ultimate at home with Chrome or IE10.  It does not work for all services (Starz, HBO, etc. does not work.  I am connected via comcast wire.

I use Windows 7 Professional at work with Chrome, Firefox 23, and IE8.  It does not work.  Wired connection.

I hope that you guys come up with a fix soon.  The only thing that I liked about the service was the mobile ability to watch videos.  I now only have the option of using HBO Go, because Starz Play is not supported.  (Would be nice to just open this up for everyone...)

PLEASE HELP US!  It is not everyone's connection/software.  It is your system.  If everyone is using different OS, different ISP, different web browsers and they all arrive to the same error message, why are you looking at the end users?

I've noticed that if I watch a show that is a major network based (CBS for instance) it works.

If i try to watch a cable show (SyFy, Showtime) I get the error.

I did the B.Knowles suggestion, and I am watching the Syfy Show I was not able to watch earlier. I'll post if I get any other details.

about 6-8 months ago I had this same problem and it randomly fixed one day. Comcast has to know whats wrong if this has happened before and it went away. Pay for services you do not get and you cant even get an update or "we are working on it" from comcast. Please give us some information.

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

Dear Comcast Moderator,

You were last seen here on August 8th responding to the one person who had success fixing this problem.  You posed a question to the rest of the group; clearly it was rhetorical, because you subsequently vanished.

Meanwhile, the rest of us have tried to resolve this problem for over a month -- while paying our full bills at the same time! Since all of us do not have the same computer, this is clearly an issue that deserves Comcast's attention.

Been having this issue for a long time and finally started working for me.  I've been trying to watch on a W7 machine on Chrome and been getting this error time and time again.  I deleted my cookies, site plug-ins, and cache from "the beginning of time" and it started working.  I've done this a million times so not sure why it started working now.  Worth a try for everyone else.

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

I've been following this forum post for about a month to see if anyone ever got a solution. I had been able to get my player to work for a few weeks by reinstalling the Adobe Flash Player but now that isn't even working. So I finally bit the bullet and contacted tech support to see if they had a work around for it yet.

Their stupid tech support doesn't even have a knowledge base with this error code. Their only solution was to add it as a ticket so it could become a known problem. I told the guy that it was obviously a know issue if you googled the error code and saw all the forum & facebook posts. There was nothing else he could do for me.

So, yet another bad mark on Comcast. I think I'll be looking to change my service provider when my contract is up.

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

I just don't know what to say at this point.  Comcast wants to send a tech to my house to look at my home internet connection.  I'm not having this issue at home!!!  They said they could send a tech to look at my internet connection at work, where we have Xfinity Business Internet.  I then asked what about when I'm having trouble watching a video on my laptop at Starbucks, is a tech going to come help me there?  Answer, NO.  So why would you come to my house to tell me my internet is working perfectly!

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

Well that was an 1.5 hours wasted with support.  Now I'm getting Error 900|101000.101002.101005.

The tech did login to my account and was able to watch video's in Houston that I'm not able to watch in the SF Bay Area.  He blamed my equipment, but that doesn't explain why I also can't watch video's using the Xfinity iPhone Player app.  I'm wondering if it's location specific?

His final resolution was to tranfer me to signature support so I could pay more than I already to do to fix an issue which, based on ComcastJoe's comments, doesn't seem to be an issue on my side of the fence.

So, I tried to figure out the email address to the CEO of Comcast cable and emailed him.  We'll see if I get a response.  If anyone wants to give it a try it is neil_smit@comcast.com.

Re: Error 900|101000.101002.101006

I too have been waiting and hoping for a fix for months now.  I use to be able to watch any show/movie I wanted to without error until one day.... BAM!  Error message.  This is whether I'm at home (Vista and latest FF, IE, or Chrome) or at work (latest IE or Chrome).

Today was the 1st time I didn't receive the message but it was by mistake while attempting to catch up on He!! on Wheels.  S3E10 and E9 would play without giving me the error but when I attempted to watch the episode I was on (3) I received it (3-8 would not play).

I've tried all of the suggestions posted here and nothing has worked.  Seems Comcast doesn't care either so when my 2yrs is up on my contract this may be the deciding factor.  I'm in S/E Michigan for what it's worth.
