Error 562 HELP!

Error 562 HELP!

Okay I keep getting a play back error of 562.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled adobe flash player twice.  I've also tried using google chrome and internet explorer.  Both still show the same error.  Youtube works just fine.

 

What can I do now?

Completely uninstall Silverlight from your computer. Then download and install Silverlight from the link below:

 

Windows users 

 

This is a patched version that fixes most video playback issues and gets you out of the "Please install/upgrade Silverlight" loop.

 

Follow all the on-screen instructions and then try playing videos again. Let me know the results.

How do I uninstall silverlight?  I can't seem to find it under my Programs under the Control Panel.  Is there a way to search for its location?

Found it!

 

Uninstalled and then reinstalled with no luck.

Please go to www.xfinitytv.com/computer again and tell me what version of Silverlight are you using.

 

Also, what video are you trying to watch? Please send me the link.

Ok, your Silverlight Player is fine. It is your Flash Player that is causing these issues.

 

Make sure that you are allowing Xfinity.com/tv and xfinity.com to pass through your firewall. Also, make sure all ad-blocking software is turned off.

I can actually access the website just fine.  It just isn't playing the video and sending me the error.

Oh and now it's giving me error 560.  So something must have changed.

Are you using any ad-blocking or pop-up blocking software. Usually, a full uninstall and reinstall works unless there is third party software blocking it. If you have third party software (ad-blocker, pop-up blocker, anti-virus, etc.), then Xfinity.com/tv will need to be added as an exception.

 

I can give you instructions on how to do it but it depends on the software (if you have it installed)

Go here and to learn how to disable your firewall and then try watching a video again.
